Most of the housing in Woodbridge was completed by the mid-1990s, with a later addition in 2013 when a new tract called The Branches introduced 48 new homes after a 15-year gap in development. The community is bordered on the south by the I-405 freeway and stretches from Irvine Center Drive to the freeway, making it centrally located within the city and convenient for commuters.
